Ntora's Photographic Biography
Ntora was born in 1973 and got her first Vivitar instant film camera 12 years later.
She failed producing any images at that time.
Success came 3 years later with a used Olympus M1 film camera and a 105mm f/2.8 lens.
Her first photograph was a portrait. With the olympus she did a lot of portraiture and fashion and was drawn to the photography department of the Southern Illinois University.
There, along with her regular studies to be a Biologist, she got a minor in photography and work experience part time at Kabance photo agency and alongside Naoki Aiba MD.
She also got an Olympus OM4T and a wider range of lenses after he first Olympus was stolen on campus. Her film load was enriched and expanded to nature, sports, events and abstract subjects while she explored and studied the subject of photography as art. She was introduced to black and white film developing –which hated- and the darkroom – which she loved – where she spent and unproprotionally longer time in.
Her last film image was taken in August 2000 and was also a portrait.
Then she sat on her hands during the transition from film to digital.
She replaced the Olympus with a Nikon D 70 and the darkroom with PS2 in 2004.
She remains faithful to Nikon with the D2X as her favorite shooting tool.
In digital she produces portraits, animal and landscape as well as abstract images.
She works as the exclusive photographer for all bowling sports events in Greece.
She is available for commercial, private or promotional commission for events or subjects that can benefit from her digital retouching and enhancing skills and she can fit in her sechedule.
She lives in Thessaloniki, Greece where she is studying for a Veterinary degree.
